Lantern House
New York, USA

When you’re surrounded by the icons of architecture in the heart of New York it takes a unique idea to stand out from the rest - and the Lantern House does just that. Taking inspiration from British Victorian houses, these lantern-shaped windows are enriched by the surrounding copper-colored frames, coated in an Interpon D3000 hyperdurable powder coating, in a color and finish that complements the area’s historical past.

Ambassade de Canada
Paris, France

When relocating the Canadian Embassy and Cultural Centre to the 8th Arrondissement of Paris in view of the Champs Élysée and the world's largest fashion houses, you have to elegantly blend history and modernity with a touch of French style. The architects have done just that. They have created a monumental four-meter deep, double-height entrance using traditional Canadian Tyndall stone. On either side, rising to the first floor, panels in a decorative vegetal motif are lacquered with finely textured Interpon D2525 Futura Manganese Sablé. Futura helps blend the modernity of the new façade with the building's historic Hussain architecture – and a touch of joie de vivre!

Porta Fira Hotel
Barcelona, Spain

The strikingly red Hotel Porta Fira in the coastal city of Barcelona won the Emporis architecture prize in 2010. The iconic building rises 110 meters up into Barcelona's skyline, a city blessed for its art and architecture. Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center SNFCC
Athens, Greece

Greece is known the world over as the cradle of Western Culture. And Athens is its heart. When the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) opened the combined National Library of Greece and Greek National Opera in 2017, it had to uphold a nation's fierce pride in its ancient history and tradition of learning. The building was conceived as a dislodged piece of the earth’s crust emerging out of the ground, and the vast, suspended roof canopy appears as a cloud hovering above the library and opera building. To ensure the SNFCC remains the pride of Athens, the architects chose Interpon’s D3020 powder coatings in grey, white and a bright grey metallic finish, knowing they would shield the building from Athens’ harsh coastal climate and stormy weather, and supporting its platinum LEED certification to ensure its green building credentials.

Torre Caleido
Madrid, Spain

Torre Caleido stands like a black obelisk in the vibrant urban landscape of Madrid’s financial district. Taller than its four skyscraping sisters, it is 181 meters high, has 36 storeys, and, like the obelisks of ancient Egypt, appears to be created from a single stone. The color consistency needed to achieve such visual harmony was why the architects chose hyperdurable Interpon D3020 powder coatings. Construction materials as diverse as curtain walls, interior, and exterior carpentry, stairs, and handrails were color matched as perfectly as Dali, Picasso, and Goya would have demanded. The Torre Caleido now stands as a temple to the rich artistic heritage and modernity of Spain, thoroughly deserving of its gold class LEED environmental award.
